Panic button
Panic button in the lift
A button with yellow bell symbol in the lift cage that should be pressed in the event of an emergency or malfunction. As a rule, a loud acoustic signal is sounded in the hoistway if the button is pressed. The lift caretaker should now be notified and can take measures.
Without a lift caretaker it is possible to establish an automatic connection via phone line to a counterpart if the panic button is pressed. This can be for example the facility manager or the emergency call centre of a lift company.
