Proximal-collective group
What is a proximal-collective group in lifts?
High buildings are divided into various vertical areas (zones) for commercial exploitation, as it is uneconomical for all lifts to serve all floors.
In the case of building between approx. 60 m and 120 m a division is carried out in groups. The group of lifts for the lower zone becomes the proximal-collective group, the upper zone is called distant-collective group. There is possible a changeover stop in the middle. The proximal-collective group serves the floors of the lower half of the building.
